About Celebrate With Cake

I'm Wendy, a Home Economist, based in my home kitchen in Willingham, rural Cambridgeshire and I've always worked with food.

I qualified with a practical HND in Home Economics and worked developing, testing and producing dishes for photography to be used in recipe books and leaflets.

I also work part-time in education and teach cookery to Primary aged children.

I have always loved baking and enjoy sharing the skills I've developed. Six years ago I entered the Churches Conservation Trust Great Church Bake Off competition and won with my 'After the Wedding' cake. This gave me the confidence to set up Celebrate With Cake.

Each cake order sets me new challenges and over the years I have learned many new skills using online tutorials and demonstrations. My latest courses have involved painting on cakes with cocoa butter and creating a sugarpaste flower posy for a wedding cake.

When I'm not busy baking, I love nothing better than escaping to the beach with my family and two dogs for a stroll in the sunshine!
